Bat Drag FAQ

Here are answers to some of the more frequently asked questions about Bat Drag.

What is Bat Drag?

As I discuss at length in my piece on the subect, Bat Drag is a very common swing flaw in which the hitter's back elbow slides forward, forcing the hitter to make contact farther forward than is appropriate. That can create an Excessive Uppercut and problems hitting the fastball.

Can Bat Drag and a leaky back elbow be a strength issue for kids under 10 or is it strictly cause rear arm is usually dominant?

Bat Drag can be a strength issue, often caused by too heavy of a bat.
