Baseball Pitcher Evaluations
4/2/2008
All the time and
effort I have spent
analyzing the pitching mechanics of major league
pitchers has paid off. I have started working with a major league
team evaluating the pitchers they are considering drafting. As part
of this process, I have developed a unique
methodology that allows me to evaluate a pitcher's mechanics from
the standpoint of...
- Performance
- Effectiveness
- Injury Risk
As part of this process, I compare
each pitcher's motion and mechanics to two groups of
professional baseball players whose mechanics I have analyzed...
Pitchers with long, injury-free careers.

Roger Clemens
- Greg Maddux
-
Nolan Ryan
Pitchers with short, injury-plagued careers.

If you would like me to evaluate
the pitching mechanics of yourself, your son, or one of your
players, then
e-mail me
or call me at 314.494.1324.
The way this works is that I will ask you
to e-mail (or
snail mail) me one or more clips of the pitcher. I will then analyze
the clip looking for problems, their root causes, and what to do
about them.
The amount I charge for this service
depends on how much detail you want me to go into and how much
time you want me to spend on the evaluation. I charge $20
for a basic thumbs up or thumbs down evaluation of a clip, $40 for
an evaluation with a detailed write-up, and $100 for a frame by
frame analysis.
If you are interested in learning a little more about
me and how I do my pitcher evaluations, I have posted to my web site
a document that explains
who I am as well as an example of a detailed
write-up
.
