Video Library Now Coming On Line
I have been getting tons of requests from people asking that
I put my video library on line. For copyright and bandwidth
issues, I can't do that. However, what I have started doing is
adding some of my favorite swing clips to the new Video Library
section of my
Professional Hitter Analyses page. Enjoy.

Ken Griffey Jr. Swing Analysis - One-Pager
As you know, I recently put together an
analysis of Ken Griffey Jr.'s swing for the Cincinnati Enquirer.
As part of that project, I also put together a
one-page analysis of Ken Griffey Jr.'s swing
that is based on the photo below.
Ken Griffey Jr.
I have just posted this one-page analysis to my web site under the
professional hitter analyses section. Every young hitter
should print this analysis out, tape it to the wall next to
their bed, and study it every night.

Manny Hits Number 500
Manny Ramirez hit his 500th home run today, and I thought it
would be interesting to take a look at his swing at the Point Of
Contact (POC).
Manny Ramirez - Number 500
As you would expect, Manny Ramirez is exhibiting most of the
principles of
rotational hitting that I talk about on this site. Notice
how his back knee is bent roughly 90 degrees and how, rather
than
squishing the bug, he is on the tip of his back toe. In
fact, his back toe may be up in the air at this moment. Notice
how he is tilting over
the plate and how, rather than swinging level to the ground, the
head of his bat is well below the level of his hands. Finally,
notice how he is showing good
connection; how,
rather than extending and making the Power V at the POC, his
hands are rotating with his back shoulder and his back elbow is
bent roughly 90 degrees.
